Porsche's factory interval of 15,000 km or one year is set for European driving. Dubai heat, long idling with the AC on and stop-start traffic wear oil out much faster, so our Porsche specialists recommend an oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. The oil is drained warm so contaminants leave with it. Dry-sump GT engines are drained from the sump and the tank.
Porsche sumps are aluminium, so the drain plug gets a new seal and is torqued to specification to protect the threads.
The filter and housing O-rings are replaced, and the old filter is checked for debris on engines where wear shows up there first.
We fill to specification, bring the engine to temperature and set the level on the electronic gauge, never by guesswork.
