Carzilla is an independent Audi Q7 specialist workshop in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2 and part of our complete Audi repair Dubai service. We repair and service both Audi Q7 generations – the first-generation 4L (2006–2015) and the current 4M (2016 onwards) – including the SQ7. Every job at our Audi workshop in Dubai starts with dealer-level ODIS and VCDS diagnostics, a fixed written quote and free pickup and delivery anywhere in Dubai.
The two Audi Q7 generations share a badge but very little hardware. Different engines, different gearboxes and different electronics mean a correct repair starts with knowing exactly which Q7 is in the workshop. Our Audi Q7 mechanics work on both.
Engines: 3.6 FSI VR6, 4.2 FSI V8, 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 and 3.0/4.2 TDI. Gearbox: Aisin 6-speed tiptronic (09D) up to 2010, then the Aisin 8-speed (0C8). Optional adaptive air suspension and hydraulic power steering.
Typical 4L work in Dubai: timing chain and guide replacement on the 4.2 FSI (chains sit at the back of the engine, so it is an engine-out job), intake valve carbon cleaning, air suspension strut and compressor repair, and Audi Q7 gearbox valve body repair.
Engines: 2.0 TFSI (EA888 Gen3), 3.0 TFSI (supercharged EA837 early, then turbocharged EA839 55 TFSI with 48V mild hybrid), 3.0 TDI and the SQ7 4.0 V8. Gearbox: ZF 8-speed tiptronic with a Torsen quattro centre differential. Options include air suspension, all-wheel steering and electromechanical active roll stabilisation.
Typical 4M work: coolant pump and thermostat module leaks, 48V belt starter-generator faults, ZF 8-speed fluid service and mechatronic repair, air strut replacement and MMI electrical faults.
From a minor service to a full engine or gearbox rebuild, every Audi Q7 repair is carried out in-house by our own Audi technicians – your car is never outsourced.
Timing chain and tensioner replacement, oil leak repair (cam cover, PCV, oil cooler), misfire and coil pack diagnosis, walnut blasting for direct-injection carbon, supercharger coupler repair on the 3.0 TFSI and full engine rebuilds. Buying a used Q7? Book a pre-purchase car inspection first.

Car steering repair Dubai →Accident repair, dent removal, bumper and panel respray with paint-code colour matching, and parking sensor and camera refitting after body work. Car detailing, ceramic coating and PPF also available.
Auto body shop Dubai →Dubai heat, fine sand and stop-start traffic push some Audi Q7 components to fail earlier than their European service plan expects. These are the faults our Audi Q7 specialists see most often.
On the 4M 2.0 TFSI, the plastic coolant pump and thermostat module cracks after repeated heat cycles. On the 3.0 TFSI, leaks come from the pump and coolant pipes under the supercharger. Sand packed into the radiator stack adds to the heat load (see our guide on car radiator repair cost in Dubai). We pressure test, replace the failed part and vacuum-fill the system with the correct G12-family coolant.
A Q7 sitting low overnight usually has a leaking air strut. Heat hardens the rubber and sand wears the rolling area, and the leak makes the compressor run until it overheats. Replacing only the compressor leads to a second failure, so we find and fix the leak first, then check the compressor and recalibrate ride height as part of our car suspension repair service.
Harsh 1–2 and 2–3 shifts, a thump into Drive or shudder at cruising speed usually point to degraded fluid, valve body wear or lost adaptation values. Gearbox fluid is often called "lifetime", but in UAE temperatures we recommend changing it every 60,000–80,000 km. Full details are on our Audi Q7 transmission repair page.
Direct-injection FSI and TFSI engines build carbon on the intake valves, causing cold-start misfires and rough running. Coil packs and plugs also suffer in the heat. We read cylinder-by-cylinder misfire counters, then clean the valves by walnut blasting as part of car engine repair where needed.
A rattle on cold start from the 3.6 FSI or 4.2 FSI means worn chains, guides or tensioners. On the 4.2 FSI the chains are at the rear of the engine, so it is a major job – catching it early avoids valve and piston damage. See also our Audi engine and repair services.
AGM batteries last around 24–36 months in Dubai heat. A weak battery triggers random warning lights, MMI resets and start-stop faults. A new battery must be registered to the car through diagnostics at an Audi specialist workshop – skipping this shortens its life.
Common causes are a dust-blocked condenser, a leaking evaporator or pipe, or a faulty compressor control valve. We leak-test before refilling, because topping up gas without finding the leak only lasts a few weeks. Read more about our Audi AC repair in Dubai.
Cam cover gaskets, the PCV/oil separator, oil cooler seals and the supercharger drive on the 3.0 TFSI are regular leak points. We check crankcase pressure first so the new seals do not get pushed out again – the right way to handle engine oil leak repair.
Our Audi Q7 service intervals are adjusted for UAE heat and dust rather than European conditions. Following them prevents most of the expensive repairs listed above. Book an Audi Q7 oil change or full service at any time.

Yes. We repair the first-generation Audi Q7 4L (2006–2015) and the current Audi Q7 4M (2016 onwards), including the SQ7 and 55 TFSI mild-hybrid models. We identify the exact engine and gearbox code from the VIN before quoting – you can also run a UAE VIN check yourself.
A Q7 that drops overnight almost always has an air leak – usually a worn air strut, sometimes an air line or valve block. Get it checked quickly, because the compressor overworks to keep the car up and can burn out, turning one repair into two. Book an air suspension repair check early.
We recommend an oil and filter service every 10,000 km or 12 months, gearbox fluid every 60,000–80,000 km and brake fluid every 2 years. Heat and dust shorten fluid and filter life compared with Audi's European schedule. Our oil change service covers the full checklist.
No gearbox fluid lasts forever in Dubai temperatures. Old fluid causes harsh shifts and valve body wear. A fluid and filter service with the correct specified fluid, set to level at the right temperature and followed by an adaptation reset, is far cheaper than a gearbox rebuild. See Audi transmission repair Dubai for more.
No. The Audi Q7 is a longitudinal-engine car and uses a Torsen self-locking centre differential, not the Haldex coupling found on transverse Audis such as the A3 and Q3. It needs front and rear differential oil checks rather than Haldex pump and filter service.
Servicing at an independent workshop with approved parts and fluids, and a documented service record, keeps your service history valid. We log every job to a digital service history you can show at resale.
