Carzilla is an independent Rolls Royce engine specialist in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2. Our Rolls Royce mechanics diagnose, repair and rebuild every Rolls Royce engine – the 6.75L and 6.6L twin-turbo V12 in the Cullinan, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn and Phantom VIII, the naturally aspirated V12 in the Phantom VII, and the classic V8 and V12 engines in the Silver Shadow, Silver Spur and Silver Seraph.
Every engine job starts with a factory-level computer diagnosis and a fixed written quote. Nothing is replaced until the root cause is proven.
A Rolls Royce engine is built to hide its own problems. Heavy insulation masks noise, the torque reserve masks lost power, and full underbody trays carry leaking oil and coolant metres away from the part that failed. Our Rolls Royce engine mechanics work from live data and pressure tests, not from guesswork. These are the engine repairs we carry out every week in our Al Quoz garage.
Full scan of the engine control units (two DMEs on the V12 – one per bank), freeze-frame data, misfire counters, fuel trims and boost values. We read the data under load, not just the stored fault codes. Read more on why professional engine diagnostics matter on modern cars.
Valve cover gaskets, oil filter housing gasket, sump gasket, turbo oil feed and return lines, front crank seal and rear main seal. We test crankcase pressure and the ventilation system first – a blocked breather pushes oil past new gaskets and is the main reason leak repairs come back.
Cold pressure test of every coolant circuit, water pump, thermostat, plastic pipes, quick-connect O-rings, expansion tanks and radiator stack cleaning. Finished with a vacuum coolant fill and a commanded purge of the electric pumps. See our Cullinan coolant leak repair case.
Twelve cylinders means twelve coils, twelve spark plugs and twelve injectors. We identify the faulty cylinder from misfire counters, swap-test the coil, check plug condition and injector balance, and renew plugs as a set in Dubai heat.
Low boost, whistling, blue smoke under load or "Drive moderately" warnings on the twin-turbo V12. We smoke-test the intake and charge pipes, check wastegate actuators and turbo oil lines before any turbo is condemned.
Blue smoke on cold start and a low-oil warning between services usually point to hardened valve stem seals. We measure consumption properly, compression and leak-down test each bank, and quote the head-on or head-off repair route.
High-pressure direct injectors, high-pressure fuel pumps and low-pressure tank pumps on the N73 and N74 V12. Rough idle, long cranking and lean or rich fuel trims are tested against live rail pressure before parts are ordered.
Rattle on cold start, cam/crank correlation faults and VANOS faults. We check chain stretch values from live data, inspect guides and tensioners, and use the correct locking tools so cam timing is set exactly on refit.
For engines with bore damage, bearing failure or heavy oil consumption: engine-out strip down, machining, new bearings, rings and seals, or a sourced replacement engine coded to the car. Every option is priced in writing before we start.
Rolls Royce has used five different engine families in the cars we see in Dubai. Each one fails in its own way, so the first thing our Rolls Royce engine specialists confirm is which engine is in your car.

The Rolls Royce Spectre is fully electric and has no combustion engine. Its high-voltage battery cooling and drive unit faults are handled under our Rolls Royce repair Dubai service.
Because a Rolls Royce is so quiet and so heavily insulated, early engine faults are easy to miss. Book an engine inspection at our Rolls Royce garage if you notice any of these.
A Rolls Royce in Dubai can sit at 50°C in a car park and run at full operating temperature an hour later. Rubber gaskets, O-rings and plastic coolant parts fail from these heat cycles, which is why low-mileage cars still leak.
Fine dust builds up between the AC condenser, charge-air cooler and main radiator. Cooling capacity drops slowly until the engine runs hot in summer traffic. Our radiator and coolant service clears and tests the full stack.
The V12 takes around 10 litres of 0W-30 fully synthetic oil. In UAE heat we recommend an engine oil change every 12,000–15,000 km instead of the longer European interval, to protect VANOS, timing chains and turbo bearings.
Many Rolls Royce cars in Dubai cover low mileage or sit for the summer. Seals dry out, batteries drop below starting voltage and fuel ages. A pre-season inspection prevents most of these failures. See our guide on long-term Rolls Royce maintenance in Dubai.
The same six steps apply whether your Rolls Royce has a small oil leak or needs a full engine rebuild.
We collect your Rolls Royce on a covered recovery truck anywhere in Dubai, or you can drive it to our workshop on 20 C Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 2.
Low voltage creates false engine faults on a Rolls Royce, so we test the battery first, then scan every control unit and record live engine data.
Cooling system pressure test, smoke test, crankcase pressure test, compression or leak-down test and UV dye where needed. Underbody trays are removed so the leak is traced to its source.
You receive photos, the confirmed fault and a fixed price. Work starts only after you approve it. If anything else is found mid-job, we stop and call you.
Parts that sit in the same area are renewed while it is open, so you do not pay the same labour twice. Torque values, coolant and oil specifications follow factory data.
Adaptations are reset, coolant is vacuum filled and purged, faults are cleared and the car is road tested at full temperature before it is returned with Warranty on Repair.
Most Rolls Royce engine repair cost is labour access, not the part itself – a V12 packed into a long engine bay takes time to reach. These are typical price ranges at our Rolls Royce workshop. Your exact price is fixed in writing after inspection.

The right choice for leaks, misfires, cooling faults, turbo lines, timing chains and valve stem seals. The engine stays in the car or comes out only for access, and the core engine is sound.
Needed when compression is low on several cylinders, bearings are damaged or oil consumption is beyond seal repair. Rebuilding the original engine keeps the car's matching numbers, which protects value on a Rolls Royce.
Used when the block is cracked, a bore is scored or the engine has seized. We source a tested engine, transfer the ancillaries and code it to the car's control units.
Gearbox problems often feel like engine problems. Hesitation and shudder can come from the ZF automatic gearbox, so we check it in the same diagnosis – see our Rolls Royce transmission repair service.
Our Rolls Royce engine mechanics work on current, recent and classic models. Select your model for model-specific repair and service information.

It depends on the fault and the engine. Ignition coil and spark plug work on a V12 is typically AED 3,500 – 7,500, coolant leak repairs AED 2,500 – 9,000, and major jobs such as valve stem seals or timing chains AED 18,000 – 55,000. A full engine rebuild starts around AED 60,000. Carzilla gives a fixed written quote after a free engine inspection.
The most common causes on the V12 are an ignition coil or spark plug misfire, a boost leak on twin-turbo models, a VANOS or timing fault, or a low battery voltage creating false codes. A full scan with live data is needed – a basic code reader does not read every Rolls Royce control unit.
Usually coolant loss from a plastic pipe or O-ring, a failing water pump or auxiliary electric pump, a stuck thermostat, or a radiator stack packed with sand. Twin-turbo V12 engines also have a separate charge-air cooling circuit with its own tank, which is often missed. Stop driving if the gauge rises and call us for recovery.
A small seep can be driven to the workshop, but oil near the exhaust or turbochargers is a fire risk and a fast drip can starve the engine. The underbody trays hide where the oil is coming from, so book an inspection rather than topping up and waiting.
Yes. We use genuine Rolls Royce parts or OEM-quality parts from the original suppliers, and the quote shows which option is used so you can choose. All engine work comes with Warranty on Repair.
Yes. Carzilla's Rolls Royce engine repairs are typically around 40% below dealer pricing, using factory-level diagnostic software, the same fluid specifications and genuine or OEM parts, with Free Pickup and Delivery* across Dubai.
Diagnosis is normally same day. Coil, sensor and small leak repairs take one to two days. Turbo, timing chain or valve stem seal work takes about a week, depending on parts. An engine rebuild takes two to four weeks.
We recommend every 12,000 – 15,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first, using around 10 litres of 0W-30 fully synthetic oil to the correct specification. Dubai heat breaks oil down faster than the European interval assumes.
Yes. We work on the 6.75L V8 in the Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit, Silver Spur and Corniche, and the 5.4L V12 in the Silver Seraph, including cooling system restoration, oil leaks, liner seal leaks and fuel system faults.
