A correct tyre replacement starts with the specification, not with whatever is on the shelf. Before we quote, our tyre mechanics read your car's tyre placard, the approved sizes for your model and the markings on the tyres already fitted. The new tyre must match or exceed the original size, load index, speed rating and load class (standard, XL or HL). A tyre that fits the wheel but carries a lower load index or speed rating is not a like-for-like replacement, and on a heavy SUV or a fast car it removes the safety margin the manufacturer built in.
We also check the DOT date code on every new tyre before it is fitted, so you never pay for stock that has already spent years in a warehouse. On the invoice you get the tyre brand, pattern, size, load index, speed rating and DOT code for each position, the pressures set and confirmation that the wheel bolts were torqued to specification.
Many luxury cars leave the factory on tyres developed for that exact model. These carry a manufacturer marking on the sidewall: MO for Mercedes-Benz, a star for BMW, N0, N1 or N2 for Porsche, AO for Audi and J or LR for Jaguar Land Rover. OE-marked tyres are tuned to the car's weight, suspension, noise targets and top speed. At our tyre workshop we source the correct marked tyre where one exists and fit the same marking across an axle, which Porsche in particular recommends.
Tyres with 30 and 35-series sidewalls on large forged, diamond-cut or painted wheels need careful handling. The stiff bead can tear and the rim edge scratches easily if the tyre is forced over the wheel. Our technicians mount these tyres with rim protection, lubricate the bead properly, keep clear of the TPMS sensor and seat the bead at the correct pressure. Staggered setups, with wider tyres at the rear, are fitted and balanced as matched axle pairs.
Run-flat tyres have reinforced sidewalls that keep the car moving for a limited distance after a puncture. They are standard on many BMW and MINI models. Run-flats need the right fitting technique, and run-flat and conventional tyres must never be mixed on the same car. A run-flat that has been driven at zero pressure is inspected from the inside and, in most cases, replaced.
Audi quattro, BMW xDrive, Mercedes 4MATIC, Porsche Traction Management and Range Rover all-wheel-drive systems sense small differences in wheel speed. Fitting two new tyres next to two worn ones changes the rolling circumference between axles, and the centre coupling or transfer case works constantly to compensate. We measure tread depth on the remaining tyres and tell you honestly whether a pair is safe or whether four tyres are needed to protect the gearbox and transfer case.
Electric cars are heavier than petrol cars of the same size and deliver full torque from standstill, so they wear tyres faster and often need HL (high load) tyres with noise-reducing foam inside. Wheel alignment and wheel balancing are often confused, but they solve different problems. Alignment sets the angles of the wheels against the road and against each other. Balancing evens out the weight around each wheel and tyre so it spins without vibration. New tyres need both, and so does any car that has hit a pothole, a kerb or a sharp speed bump hard enough to be felt through the steering.
Our wheel alignment service measures and adjusts camber, caster and toe on all four wheels to the manufacturer's specification for your exact model. Book an alignment if the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits off centre on a straight road, or the inner or outer edge of a tyre is wearing faster than the centre.

An unbalanced wheel usually shows up as a vibration through the steering wheel or seat between about 80 and 120 km/h. Our wheel balancing service spins each wheel on a computerised balancer, measures the rim for run-out and adds the correct weights. A wheel that needs an unusually large amount of weight is checked for a bent rim or a damaged tyre before it goes back on the car.

Not every tyre problem needs a new tyre. Our tyre garage repairs what can be repaired safely, replaces what cannot, and explains the difference before any work is done.
A puncture in the central tread area can usually be repaired with a combined plug and patch fitted from inside the tyre, which seals the hole and the inner liner. Damage in the shoulder or sidewall, a hole larger than the repair limit, or a tyre that was driven flat cannot be repaired safely. Noise-cancelling foam tyres need a small section of foam removed first, and self-sealing tyres need their own repair method.
If the tyre pressure warning light stays on after the pressures are correct, a sensor may have a flat battery, a damaged valve or a coding fault. We test each sensor, replace the valve seal kit whenever a tyre comes off, fit new sensors where needed and program or relearn them to your car so the warning clears and the correct pressures show on the dashboard.
Rotating tyres spreads wear evenly and makes a set last longer, but only where the car allows it. Same-size tyres can be rotated between axles. Staggered setups with wider rear tyres cannot be moved front to back, and directional tyres stay on the same side. We follow the correct rotation pattern for your car and inspect each tyre off the car while we do it.
Nitrogen holds pressure slightly more steadily than air in Dubai heat, and we offer nitrogen filling for customers who want it. The same pothole or kerb strike that damages a tyre often damages the wheel. Our technicians inspect every damaged wheel with the tyre removed, including the inner barrel where most bends and cracks hide, and tell you honestly whether it should be repaired or replaced.

UAE conditions age tyres faster than the tread alone suggests. Summer asphalt in Dubai can reach around 70°C, cars parked outdoors for weeks dry out and flat-spot their tyres, and low-profile tyres on large wheels take speed bump and pothole impacts straight into the sidewall. In the UAE, a tyre's legal life is five years from its manufacturing date, read from the last four digits of the DOT code, regardless of how much tread is left. Driving with expired, worn or damaged tyres carries an AED 500 fine, four black points and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. Low-mileage weekend cars and exotic cars often reach the five-year limit with most of their tread still on, so we check the DOT date on every car that comes in. Tyres are also checked at the RTA vehicle inspection.

Check the alignment at least once a year or every 10,000 km, whenever new tyres are fitted, after any suspension or steering repair, and after a hard pothole, kerb or speed bump impact. Pulling to one side, an off-centre steering wheel or uneven tyre wear are signs it is needed sooner.

Some tyre makers allow one repair to a run-flat tyre if the puncture is small and in the central tread, while others allow no repair at all. A run-flat tyre that has been driven at zero or very low pressure should normally be replaced, because internal sidewall damage cannot be seen from outside.
The most common causes are a TPMS sensor that was damaged during fitting, a sensor with a flat battery, a new sensor that has not been programmed, or a system that needs a reset after pressures were changed. Our tyre mechanics test and program the sensors so the warning clears.
